Those affected perceive a noise in the ear that is not caused externally, but by the body itself. If the fine sensory hairs in the ear are damaged, this can lead to the perception of noise. Those affected often complain that they hear whistling, ringing or similar noises particularly clearly in quiet surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>There are two types of tinnitus:<\/p>\n<h5>Objective tinnitus<\/h5>\n<p>In this case, there is a measurable sound source near the inner ear to which the noise can be attributed. This is often caused by blood flow noises, e.g. as a result of arterial constriction.
