Diese IgE-Antik\u00f6rper binden sich an bestimmte Zellen im K\u00f6rper, wie beispielsweise Mastzellen und Basophile.\n\nBei erneutem Kontakt mit demselben Allergen binden die Allergene an die IgE-Antik\u00f6rper, die bereits auf den Zellen sitzen. Dies f\u00fchrt zur Freisetzung von Chemikalien, wie Histamin, aus den Mastzellen und Basophilen.\n\nDiese freigesetzten Chemikalien verursachen die typischen Symptome einer allergischen Reaktion. Je nachdem, wo im K\u00f6rper die Reaktion stattfindet, k\u00f6nnen die Symptome ganz unterschiedlich aussehen:\n\n* **Haut:** Juckreiz, R\u00f6tung, Quaddeln, Ekzeme.\n* **Atemwege:** Niesen, laufende Nase, verstopfte Nase, Husten, Atemnot, pfeifende Atemger\u00e4usche.\n* **Augen:** Juckende, tr\u00e4nende, rote Augen.\n* **Verdauungstrakt:** Bauchschmerzen, \u00dcbelkeit, Erbrechen, Durchfall.\n* **Kreislauf:** Bei schweren Reaktionen (Anaphylaxie) kann es zu einem Blutdruckabfall, Kreislaufversagen und Bewusstlosigkeit kommen.\n\nZusammenfassend l\u00e4sst sich sagen, dass bei einer Allergie eine fehlgeleitete Immunreaktion stattfindet, bei der der K\u00f6rper auf eigentlich harmlose Stoffe mit einer Entz\u00fcndungsreaktion reagiert, die durch die Freisetzung von Botenstoffen wie Histamin ausgel\u00f6st wird.<\/h3>\n

The immune system normally differentiates very precisely between harmful and harmless influences. In the case of an allergy, this classification becomes unbalanced. Substances like pollen, house dust mites, or animal hair then act as so-called allergens. They trigger a defence reaction, even though they are actually harmless to the body.<\/p>\n

This causes blood vessels to widen, mucous membranes to swell, and increased secretion to occur.
